This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a weekday—Thursday. This means you might find yourself heading straight for your ‘galentines’ plan or hot date, right after work, leaving little or no time, to work on your hair!

CHIGNON

A classic style that complements any occasion and outfit. And it’s so simple to create!

STEP 1 Back-comb your hair in the crown area of your head, so it looks fuller. Then, smoothen the top layer with a brush.

STEP 2 Gather your hair into a low ponytail and secure with a hair tie. Pull out a few pieces of hair in the front to frame your face.

STEP 3 Gently twist your hair from the nape of your neck to the ends, and then begin to coil it around clockwise at the base of your ponytail to create a bun.

STEP 4 Use bobby pins to secure the bun from each angle; roughly four pins should do the trick. For additional volume, you can gently pull and loosen the edges of your bun to make it a bit wider.

STEP 5 Apply hairspray to set your look.
