TV show that aims at helping other addicts has made kwaito artist relive his past addiction
PRESENTER and kwaito artist, Kabelo Mabalane, fondly known as Bouga Luv, has had to relive his former life as a drug addict during his new show on SABC2 called Kick It. The show focuses on the lives of addicts and tries to find them the help they need. Although he has been clean for 16 years, coming face to face with other drug addicts and alcoholics in the 13-part show has made him think of the times when he too, was an addict.
Kabelo shares with Move! how becoming part of the show has affected him.
BECOMING PART OF THE SHOW
Since becoming clean, Kabelo made considerably bold changes in his life by stepping aside from living a typical life of a kwaito star to a more centred life. Not only were these changes in his lifestyle choices but also in his music too.
