Picking locks could be a harmless party trick, but in the hands of the Corbster, who’s to know!

Back in my radio days, we did a personality test – one of those questionnaires which ask about your favorite pastime and how you’d react to a polar bear eating your sandwiches.

It was no surprise to me to discover I’m a green. Greens love solving puzzles. It’s why I spent hours as a teen solving Rubik’s Cube when it first came out in 19…mumble. Though I can do it, it’s no mental feat; it’s purely trial and error.

It’s also why I learned to pick bike locks. Not all of them, but when I see one, it’s hard to resist having a go.

Thus, over the recent summer, while holidaying with friends, I found myself attempting to crack the code on their daughter’s bike. Just to pass the time.
