Boy, am I glad last year is over! I did not enjoy it one little bit. For the most part, it’s been for personal reasons, but COVID really didn’t help. However, I know there are some people who’ve really taken positives from these most extraordinary of times. And I salute them.
I have talked to mums and dads who were able to spend really lovely time with their children over the first lockdown. They were in the fortunate position of not losing their jobs and so they didn’t have the terror of wondering where the next mortgage payment was coming from. For them, lockdown gave them that most valuable of assets – time.
Time to enjoy that Indian summer with their kids; time to spend on themselves, getting fit or learning to bake sourdough; time to consider what really matters in their lives.
