Ask Coleen McLoughlin’s old school friends from Liverpool for a single word, to sum up, her character, and they will all give the same answer. Loyal.

No matter how famous she became, or how much money she had in the bank (£125 million and counting), Coleen’s never strayed from her core group of friends.

The status of being Mrs. Rooney, wife of England’s footballing hero Wayne, led to her being dubbed a Wag. But Coleen was never going to become one of The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Instead, she holidays, parties and unwinds with her oldest, closest friends, who she can count on to remain discreet and loyal.

Over the years, however, a handful of so-called Wags have made their way into the inner circle. And despite her having what one old friend describes as ‘the patience of a saint’, they are now discovering that even Coleen has limits. And none more than Rebekah Vardy.
