After years of craving a daughter, Louise is struggling as her ex looks forward to a baby with his new girlfriend

For years she put her career on the back-burner to focus on being a good mum to the two boys she shares with footballer pin-up Jamie Redknapp.

Back in 2016 Jamie even suggested trying again for a baby girl to complete their family. Five years on he may be getting his wish – but Louise can only watch on from the sidelines as she struggles to come to terms with his new arrival.

‘Some people tell Louise that she only has herself to blame, but all she can do is put on a brave face and struggle on,’ a close friend of the star tells Woman. ‘This is a double nightmare for her, because not only is she grieving for a marriage, it’s also the loss of a new life chapter they should have shared together.

‘I’m sure he hasn’t done any of this deliberately but, frankly, Jamie couldn’t have hurt Lou more if he tried. She’s heartbroken. They always dreamt of having a baby girl – for him to so quickly be expecting a new arrival with someone else is a devastating blow.’

Reeling

Louise, 46, found out Jamie was expecting a child with new girlfriend Frida Andersson, 37, through a third party. It is understood to have come as a ‘bolt from the blue’ that left her reeling.
