She’s someone who’s lived much of her life – the good and bad – in the public eye, so it’s no surprise that Fern Britton continues to be completely honest about how shes feeling following her split from husband Phil Vickery.
Phil and Fern called time on their marriage in January last year, just months before they would have celebrated their 20th anniversary, and recently, the former This Morning host has opened up about how she’s coping with single life in the middle of a pandemic.
Resilience and strength
Fern has never been one to bite her tongue, even when it comes to personal matters – and recently she’s had her say on COVID-19, raising some bizarre theories about the virus.
She wrote on Twitter, ‘I believe COVID is a real and dangerous virus running amok among the world’s population and ruining the world’s economy. However, if this is all a con to control us, what is the endgame? This is an authentic ’question.’ A fan replied, ‘Oh God, don’t say that. I’m not coping as it is,’ to which she replied, ‘Oh, me neither.’
Her admission that she’s not coping may come as a surprise to fans, after Fern refused to let herself get down despite the interest in her love life last year.
