Mariah Carey may be one of the biggest pop stars in the world, but that never stopped anyone from having family fall-outs.
The 50-year-old Hero singer’s sister, Alison Carey, has filed a lawsuit against their mother, Patricia Carey. Alison accuses Patricia of forcing her to perform sex acts on strangers when she was just 10 years old.
Revealing she ‘felt uncomfortable’ when Patricia asked her to talk with a man she knew from church, Alison said that, moments after she entered his car, the man allegedly forced himself on to her.
She told The Sun, ‘I stayed in the car until he tried to get me to touch him. Then I tried to get out.
‘For her to ask me to talk to him in his car, it didn’t seem that strange. At the time, it didn’t come up in my mind – she was my mother. That’s what you ask me to do and I’ll do it.’
In the lawsuit Alison filed in New York, she has claimed she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and depression as a result of the alleged abuse as a child.
