A SEXUAL REVOLUTION

Marriage rates are at their lowest but perhaps it's the better option?

Despite burnt bras, the pill and the right to say 'I don't', are we women REALLY any better off?

Think about it. Has the sexual revolution of the 1960s, which gave us the right to think, act and even be treated like blokes when it came to relationships, genuinely improved things?

Pornography is rife, 'hook-up' culture has replaced romantic dates, rough sex is routine, prostitution just another career choice and convictions an all-time low.

Well, this is the very thought-provoking view of feminist author Louise Perry whose new book The Case Against the Sexual Revolution: A New Guide to Sex in the 21st Century has led to her being dubbed the new Mary Whitehouse

Remember her? The much-maligned campaigner who railed against the 'moral pollution of the 1960s and 70s earning her the admiration of the Women's Institute and the loathing of Page 3 girls and their fans.

But does Louise have a point?
