A Sister For Mia Zara's Bonny Baby

The proud mum and dad can’t wait to see their beloved girls bond.

Zara Tindall’s dream of giving her daughter Mia a sibling has finally come true with the arrival of a bonny baby girl. The happy news, which was announced in a statement from Buckingham Palace, comes 18 months after Zara and her former rugby star husband Mike suffered the devastating loss of a baby when she was around five months pregnant.

But now, as they settle into their new life as a family of four, royal sources tell Woman’s Day that Zara, 37, and Mike, 39, finally feel like they can put their heartache behind them.

“Losing the baby took a huge emotional toll on them both – they were completely heartbroken,” reveals an insider. “And it’s fair to say they were very nervous for most of this pregnancy. It was only in those last few weeks that they let themselves really believe that it would happen and they really haven’t stopped smiling since their baby girl arrived last Monday. They just feel so incredibly lucky.”

With Zara – who’s 18th in line to the throne – reportedly suffering from gestational diabetes, her pregnancy was closely monitored and the decision was made to induce her a week before her due date.
