The hunky star is living the dream Down Under

Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth admits there’s been one big threat to his nine- year marriage to Spanish actress Elsa Pataky over the past few years.

“We’ve been building a house for a while now and that’s always fun, isn’t it?” the Thor star reveals with a laugh, referring to the $11 million Byron Bay property they bought in 2014 and have been renovating since 2016.

“I think the vast majority of divorces happen during the process of building a house, so I’m thankful we’ve survived that,” continues the hunky actor, 35, who married Elsa, 42, in 2010 after three months of dating. They now have three children – India, seven, and five-year old twins Tristan and Sasha.

Chatting on a publicity stopover in Bali to promote his upcoming sci-fiaction film Men in Black: International, Chris reckons, “We’ve done pretty well to still be trucking along quite nicely, all things considered, and we both have strong opinions. But we also both have a great amount of enthusiasm for what we believe in.”

Chris believes the secret to marriage success is “finding the balance of working and being with family”, and he admits that’s a challenge.
