It’s the moment they insisted would never come, but after more than 38 years together Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have finally decided to tie the knot.

And the person responsible for placing weddings in the forefront of their thoughts after all this time is none other than Goldie’s daughter, Kate Hudson, who while planning her own nuptials decided she shouldn’t be the only bride in the family!

“Kate’s always wanted to see her mum marry Kurt, who she’s always considered her real dad,” an insider tells Woman’s Day. “When Goldie asked Kate what she wanted for a wedding gift while they were holidaying together in Greece, she said for her mum and dad to get married alongside her. Let’s face it, this is the most overdue wedding in the history of Hollywood!”

Last week Kate confessed she’s in full wedding planning mode as she and Danny, 35, prepare for their big day.
