She’s traded nightlife for beach bliss

It’s 4pm in Greece and we’re waiting for Lindsay Lohan at her Lohan Beach House, a club facing the Aegean Sea where a bikini-clad, heavily tattooed woman is DJing and a group of young people are waving their drinks to the music.

At 5pm, Lindsay arrives in a white Mini convertible. She glances over at our table, then flirts with a couple of handsome local policemen in the car park, before joining her mum Dina in a cabana. Her business partner Panagiotis Spentzos tells us, “Lindsay may be famous in America, but in Europe and the Middle East, she is an absolute superstar.”

And then suddenly, here she is, with her manager, stylist and security in tow. Long-legged and skinny, she is wearing white hot pants, towering espadrille wedges and a pair of huge sunglasses.

Lindsay, 32, currently calls Dubai home, but she’s spending the summer on the party island of Mykonos, being “very hands-on” with the running of her bar, a business she says was born out of revenge towards her former fiancé, Russian playboy Egor Tarabasov.

“I was on this beach when I turned 30,” she explains, her raspy voice full of cigarettes and disobedience. “I was leaving an ex. I said to him, ‘I will own this beach one day.’ It was a kind of termination statement. Now, two years later, it’s Lohan.”
