My Suri's Got The O Factor!

Katie has some Kennedy wisdom for her little lady.

She starred as Joey Potter for six seasons of Dawson’s Creek and steamed up the big screen as Bruce Wayne’s love interest Rachel Dawes in the box-office blockbuster Batman Begins. But it’s no surprise when Katie Holmes says the strongest woman she’s ever played is Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

Her leading role in The Kennedys has been the acting gig of a lifetime, she tells, as well as providing an important lesson about girl power for her 11-year-old daughter Suri.

Speaking to Woman’s Day at a Beverly Hills hotel, Katie, 38, reveals she and her little girl supported Hillary Clinton in the last US election. “In my house, we talk about how important it is to grow up to be heard and have a job, and not take any you-know-what from men,” she laughs.

“The one good thing that came out of our election was that women came closer together. I took my daughter on the women’s march so she could feel like our voices were still heard. She has an incredible spirit and will probably rule the world one day!”

As the ex-wife of Hollywood heavyweight Tom Cruise, Suri’s father, it’s fair to say Katie has some insight when it comes to life in the spotlight – something she admits came in handy while filming The Kennedys: After Camelot, which starts on Prime this month.
