Her tell-all tapes send shock waves through the palace.

Tortured Diana's Secret Recordings Revealed
On the eve of the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, the royal family has been thrown into meltdown over secret tapes revealing astonishing new details about her miserable existence as the Princess of Wales.

The previously unheard interviews were recorded in 1991 for author Andrew Morton to write his book Diana: Her True Story. At the time, Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles was imploding and her involvement in the sensational tell-all was kept a strict secret.

The Queen is said to be apoplectic over the release of the transcripts by Morton to promote a new version of his book, while Charles and his second wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, are struggling with the constant revisiting of their affair, which has reportedly put their 12-year marriage under extreme strain.

We’re told Camilla has been hit especially hard and is at breaking point over the new allegations. For years, she’s struggled to find her place and be accepted among the royal family, and Diana’s confessions, albeit 20 years after her untimely death in a Paris car accident, may be the final straw.

“Camilla is at rock bottom,” a well-placed palace insider reveals, speaking exclusively to Woman’s Day. “Of course, she knows how hated she was by Diana, but she didn’t realise the deep extent of it.”

The rest of the senior royals are “absolutely fuming and can’t believe that 26 years on, it’s all coming back to haunt them again”, our insider adds. “None of them come out of this at all well – they feel they just can’t escape the ghost of Diana.”

Meanwhile, Princes William and Harry have also been left reeling by the new revelations, with the concerned Duchess of Cambridge desperately trying to hold the family together.
