Twin Kidnap Plot! - George & Amal's Terror

The power couple are taking no risks.

Twin Kidnap Plot! - George & Amal's Terror

When Hollywood superstar George Clooney and his high-profile lawyer wife Amal settled in the English countryside to raise twins Ella and Alexander, they hoped it would provide the tots with a safe and happy childhood.

But that dream is in tatters after a terrifying kidnap threat is believed to have been made against the twins, forcing the couple into full-scale lockdown and leaving them petrified for their children’s safety.

“George’s fame, coupled with the dangerous nature of Amal’s work, has meant they’ve always been aware of security risks,” tells a source. “But this threat has changed everything, and George and Amal are in complete panic mode. They’ve barely slept because they don’t want to take their eyes off their children, and any noise at night makes them jump with fright. They have told friends they’ve never felt so scared in their lives.”

The source says the couple, who have homes in the UK, America and Italy, were made aware of the threat via their security officers last Thursday, and police in all three countries were immediately informed.

Within hours, George and Amal doubled the size of their security team, hiring former members of the FBI and British Secret Intelligence Service. They also sacked several staff members who they feared could have leaked information about their family’s movements to criminal organisations.

“They can’t help but feel paranoid about everyone around them, wondering who they can and can’t trust,” shares the insider.
