A FTER HAVING RECENTLY SHOWCASED five concept electric cars at their design studio in the United Kingdom, Mahindra have finally introduced the production-ready all-electric XUV400 E-SUV.

Building on a platform that has done well for Mahindra, the XUV300 has been re-engineered to make it an electric-worthy mass-market SUV. Mahindra have had quite a bit of experience with electric cars. We have seen an early electric product by them which was the small city car, ezo, and their other attempt was the electric Verito which has seen some success in the fleet market as many operators use them as city cabs. But with the XUV400, this will be the company's first proper attempt at taking on its electric competition head-on.

The brand-new 2022 Mahindra XUV400 made its world début at the Mahindra Research Valley Centre located on the outskirts of Chennai. Mahindra have a unique roll-out plan for this car, starting with phase one of the test drives which will begin in December 2022 across 16 cities in India. The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV will make its official début in January 2023. Additionally, preorders and deliveries will get under way the same month.
