Scott Lidster of Australian Earth Training says operators need to work smart with scrapers.
Treat scrapers like royalty

Scrapers are the go-to machines for moving big loads of material quickly and efficiently.

Whether it's an elevating, twin power or an open bowl scraper, these things are the kings when moving dirt in their economic zone of application.

But to really make the most of them, you need to operate smart. Whether you're new to scrapers or looking to refine your skills, here are my Top 5 tips to keep things running smoothly and boost your productivity.

1. Start with a walk-around inspection

Before you hop in the cab, take a few minutes for a quick walk-around inspection.

Check for any signs of wear, loose bolts, or potential issues.

Pay attention to the hydraulic lines, tyre condition, and fluid levels.

A small issue caught early can save you from major downtime later. It's time well spent!

2. Adjust to ground conditions

Not all terrain is created equal, and scrapers need to be set up right depending on the job site.
