The Italians are known for many things, not least of all their fine wines, fine art and fine women. Their motorcycles aren't bad either, and this, right here, is one of the finest of them all. It's also one of the least known, but that's probably more to do with its limited run of just 100 units than anything else.
Yep, these things are up there with hen's teeth and are arguably just about as valuable, considering they hit the market in 2018 at a tear-inducing £65,000. So, what makes it so special? So exotic? So damn expensive? The answer's a pretty long-winded one but, suffice to say, this is the fastest, feistiest, and most race-track-orientated F4 to ever leave the Italian marques' manufacturing line.
It was crafted in honour of the late, great Claudio Castiglioni, who became CEO of the brand in the 1990s and was the brainchild behind the iconic F4 750, among many other marvels. When he died, his son, Giovani, who succeeded him in the family firm, crafted the Claudio so his legacy would live on... and he didn't hold back.
Underneath the skin of this road-legal racer is an F4 RC with a four-cylinder motor claiming to make 203bhp as standard, or 212bhp with the race system fitted to this example. Lacking in poke it is not, with 115Nm of torque to put your dentures in the back of your throat. As well as being powerful, it's also relatively light, weighing in at 183kg (dry) and 10kg less with this ear-piercingly loud SC Project exhaust in place.

It's been a busy old month but so good being back in the thick of it. Despite the great British weather, it finally feels like summer is here, and I've been all over the place with some really great events since we spoke last month.

It's a long time since I had that feeling... 1057 days, to be precise, and if you were to ask if 'that day' was the day it would happen again, then I would have bet all my worldly belongings against it.

YAMAHA WABASH RT
When you live a life of wheelies, burnouts and fast laps on race tracks, it's hard to spot a midlife crisis... but six months on in the saddle of Yamaha's Wabash e-bike, I daresay that's exactly where I'm at. I'll be honest, cycling isn't for everyone, and quite frankly, Lycra is even more polarising, but for me, life on two wheels, be it powered or pedalled, has formed my staple diet for as long as I can remember.
