THE METHODOLOGY
Phase 1: Initial Company List Compilation
In the first phase, a list of 120 prominent IT companies was compiled based on an extensive understanding and research of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. This preliminary list served as a starting point for further evaluation.
Phase 2: Shortlisting based on India Operational Revenue
Subsequently, a second round of shortlisting took place, focus on the revenue generated these companies through their India operations. To gather this information, Cyber Media Research (CMR) team referred to various reliable sources, including Revenue Sheets, Annual
Reports available from government sources, on organization websites, and data from stock investment websites. The financial data considered spanned the financial year from April 2022 to March 2023, adhering to a consistent format for companies following either a calendar year or an alternative fiscal year.
ADDITIONAL DATA COLLECTION: ONLINE PARTICIPATION FORM
As part of the research process, an online participation form was created and made available to all IT companies within the ICT industry. This form served as a means for companies to voluntarily participate and provide essential information about their organization's performance in the financial year 2022-2023 (FY 22-23).
