Technology and Fashion - The Vanilla Girl, without being Cheugy

The industry is trying this new Tailor's Goose - ironing out issues like counterfeit, exclusivity-challenges in Quiet Fashion, Fast Fashion's flip side, carbon footprint etc. while creating the right fit of personalisation, and walking the future ramp of digital wardrobes and wearables (with both swagger and safety). Today, some future-forward brands are using technology to create a new look-book. Let's move into the atelier and ask Rishabh Oswal, Executive Director, Monte Carlo Fashions Ltd. how is all that technology designed and draped around business. How to be 'Dapper not Drab'!

How does your company view technology in relation to your operations?

Technology plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of our systems, products, and services. By streamlining processes, maintaining data flow, and managing records, it allows us to reduce costs while supporting rapid business growth.

Have tools like 3D rendering and 3D printing influenced your creative processes in fashion design?

In the fashion industry, designers are increasingly-adopting 3D software to create digital versions of garments. These production-ready designs eliminate the need for physical pattern stitching, significantly saving both time and resources. 3D printing further accelerates the prototyping phase, enabling designers to swiftly test new concepts. This agility reduces production cycles and allows brands to respond quickly to market demands, shortening the time-tomarket window.

What about VR? Have you deployed or considered itand what outcomes stand out?
