Attending with his wife Yvonne and younger son Aran by his side, the Irish actor looked relaxed and content to be at the top of the showbusiness game.
However, behind the scenes, his life is far from the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown.
For while Cillian’s screen career goes from strength to strength – he won Best Actor for his title role in Oppenheimer at the Globes and is tipped for similar Oscar success – he is happiest when he’s with his family at the peaceful home – a four-storey, six-bedroom Victorian townhouse – they have created in Ireland.
As his star was rising, Cillian and artist Yvonne made the decision to move with their two sons – Aran, now 16, and his elder brother Malachy, 18 – fromNorthLondontoMonkstown, Dublin, where they still live.
Cillian is supported by younger son Aran and wife Yvonne their elder son Malachy, 18, being back home doing exams - at this month's Golden Globes in Los Angeles, where he is named Best Actor (below)
