The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at an Irish castle in front of their closest friends and family on 4 July 1999. And despite enduring some well-publicised ups and downs over the past quarter of a century, the couple seemed as united as ever as they marked 25 years of happiness, sharing on social media a series of personal photos of their special day.
To the delight of their fans, both David and Victoria posted images of themselves in the deep-purple Antonio Berardi outfits they had changed into for their wedding reception, including a photo in which they sat on thrones similar to the gold-edged ones they had used on their big day. They captioned the pictures with the words: "Yep, still got it. Can't believe it's been 25 years and they still fit!"
The couple's wedding at Luttrellstown Castle featured Victoria walking up the aisle in a champagne Vera Wang gown and a custom-made coronet by Slim Barrett.
The former Spice Girl also shared an image of herself in her dress and headpiece on Instagram last week, writing: "Looking back on the days leading up to our wedding 25 years ago brings back so many amazing memories... I love you so much @davidbeckham".
CROWNING GLORY
Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, Slim says that the young bride had a clear vision of what she wanted when they worked together. "Victoria arrived at my studio with her mum Jackie holding her newborn baby, Brooklyn.
"Victoria said she wanted something reminiscent of a fairytale.
She had a lot of fun trying on the tiaras and crowns, with her mum taking photographs for reference.
"She really liked the East of Paris fairy crown, so we discussed making it in 18-carat yellow gold and diamonds.
She also asked me to design a small hair ornament in gold for her sister Louise, her bridesmaid.
