According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, shocking security footage captured the moment when the 36-year-old coward used a pair of innocent people as human shields as police descended on him at a Bank of America in Fort Myers.
Witness Nils Graham, 85, recalls Alavache had wandered into the business, attempted to plug his cell phone into a nearby outlet and repeatedly muttered, “I need to call my mom.”
Graham says a manager walked out the unwelcome visitor, who returned shortly afterward, threatening to murder everyone inside the bank and saying, “I got a bomb!”
