Charged with using fake sob story to bilk bighearted donors

A BRAZEN teen bilked kindhearted strangers out of thousands by falsely claiming A she was locked in a desperate battle with deadly pancreatic cancer and other ailments, say cops.

Madison "Maddie" Russo, 19, raised more than $37,000 from some 439 donors who fell hook, line and sinker for the sob story she spun on TikTok, GoFundMe and other social media platforms.

Maddie piled it on thick by claiming she not only suffered from stage 2 pancreatic cancer but also acute lymphoblastic leukemia and "a tumor the size of a football" wrapped around her spine.

The deceitful damsel, who claimed to have been first diagnosed with cancer in February 2022, tweaked heartstrings by playing the brave, innocent victim of fate to the hilt.
