'My new boyfriend will spice up MIC'

Made In Chelsea's Yasmine Zweegers says she's pleased her love life is looking more promising this series

After getting caught up in an awkward ‘love square’ last year, Made In Chelsea’s Yasmine Zweegers is delighted she’s found love with a new man – one she can finally enjoy all to herself.

Catching up with new as the latest series hits our screens, the 23-year-old model and influencer says she’s over the moon that new boyfriend Guy Connolly, a 34-year-old construction mogul from Kent, has joined TV’s poshest posse.

“As you can expect, there are a lot of dramas,” Yas says. “More excitingly for me, viewers will see me embark on a relationship. We met while filming the previous season of the show out in Bali – Lily [Ludovici Gray] and I went on a double date with two friends living out there, Guy and Billy, and it’s continued from there.”

According to Yas, who during the first episode of the new series announced that she and Guy were already exclusive, she was “living my own Eat, Pray, Love movie” when romance came knocking on her door.

“We actually had our first date playing mini golf – a completely sober first date – but it was so much fun,” she says. “We laughed so much. It was different to your typical London dating scene where you go for a drink in the freezing cold rain.”

And Yas, who has Dutch and Syrian heritage, reckons Guy is a world away from the Chelsea boys who have left her tearily reaching for her tissues in the past. “First of all, he’s from Kent,” she says. “He’s different from someone I’d usually go for – although I wouldn’t say I have a particular type. He’s just funny and he’s a really good person.”
