Charlotte Dawson has opened up about how she is coming to terms with the heartbreaking miscarriage she suffered in April – and how she’s looking forward to getting pregnant again so she can have a “big family”.
In her first interview since her devastating loss, Charlotte tells new that while she will always grieve for her “angel baby”, she is slowly starting to feel more positive about her future.
Speaking of her hopes of expanding her family with fiancé Matt Sarsfield, Charlotte, 29, who is mum to 18-month-old son Noah, says, “I’m getting better now but I’m still hurting. Maybe it wasn’t the right time for us.
“I think we will have our time again. Everything feels a bit more positive and bright. When the time is right, I believe it will happen. You never know, we might have baby number two cooking by Christmas. That would be amazing. I definitely want a big family, and I’d really love to have a girl next.”
Charlotte took to Instagram to reveal the sad news of her miscarriage on 18 April.
She said she found out she was expecting on Mother’s Day but was “heartbroken beyond words” to announce that she had lost her baby at 10 weeks.
Since then, other celebrities – including Kate Ferdinand, Stephanie Davis and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace – have spoken out and shared their own miscarriage experiences. And Charlotte has praised them for telling their stories, saying, “It’s so brave of them. It’s such an awful thing to go through. I really feel for them all.”
