Anyone who has enjoyed watching the ITVBe reality show Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair will agree on one thing: the personal trainer’s feisty relationship with her husband James Haskell is fascinating.
As they go about their daily lives in their north west London home, the couple, who married in 2018 and share 13-month-old daughter Bodhi, are seen endlessly bickering. Everything from parenting styles to James’ late-night partying sparks a heated debate, with the first-time dad readily admitting, “I spend most of my life in the doghouse.”
But despite their constant digs at one another and the fact that at times they seem quite incompatible, a source has assured new that their marriage is rock steady.
“Although they have explosive rows, Chloe and James really are stronger than ever. James is very much larger than life and says things without thinking. He’s got a very loud voice too,” said our source.
“They’re both strong characters who will inevitably clash, but equally, they know that’s why people are invested in them as a couple. Producers like them rowing because it makes them normal and relatable, and that’s what they want to be. They want to show the realities of their relationship – warts and all.
“But no matter what the argument is, they’ll be fine afterwards and brush it under the carpet. Chloe is one of the only people in the world who knows what James is really like. She knows he sometimes doesn’t come across well to the public, but she absolutely adores him and loves the life they’ve built with their daughter. Despite the arguments, she wouldn’t change their dynamic because that sums them up. Their love is passionate.”
