PRESENTER HOLLY WILLOUGHBY HAS DECAMPED TO HER HOLIDAY HOME IN THE ALGARVE TO SPEND TIME WITH HER FAMILY

Holly Willoughby has swapped a largely washout British summer for blazing Portuguese sun on a family getaway to her £2 million villa in Portugal. Enjoying a break from the This Morning sofa, Holly, 42, was joined by husband Dan Baldwin and their children Harry, 14, Belle, 12, and Chester, eight, on the Algarve, where she looked carefree as she strolled along the beach in a classic black swimsuit and shades.

Holly will have plenty of time to dwell on what must have been a traumatic few months in her career following the departure of her co-presenter Phillip Schofield at the end of May, after the scandal erupted surrounding his relationship with a young male colleague on This Morning. Addressing viewers directly on the show in early June, Holly articulated her sense of betrayal that her close friend of many years had lied to her about his actions, saying, “You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved.”
