THE PRINCESS OF WALES PLAYS IT PERFECTLY AS SHE JOINS TENNIS ACE ROGER FEDERER ON THE COURTS OF WIMBLEDON

Ahead of the first match at Wimbledon this week, the Princess of Wales took the opportunity to shine a light on the hard work that goes into becoming a Ball Boy or Girl at The Championships.

Joining eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer on the famous courts in south-west London, Kate – who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club – spoke to the successful applicants and praised their commitment.

In a professionally shot video released by Kensington Palace, the royal said, “Wimbledon is renowned for its amazingly professional Ball Boys and Ball Girls, the amount of work it takes, it’s incredible to see it behind the scenes… With all the discipline and everything you’ve learnt, you’ll be able to take it into so many other parts of your life – things like confidence, and that feeling of pride with being on any of the courts is such a big moment.”
