In the foreword of her 2016 wellness manual, The Longevity Book, Cameron Diaz shared some thoughts about getting older. "Around my 40th birthday, I started thinking about what it means to age," she mused in her follow-up tome to her bestselling The Body Book. And her conclusions? "The best way to age well isn't to worry about ageing," she wrote. "It is to live well."

Ahead of turning 50 on August 30, Diaz is practising what she preaches, mindfully thriving in her professional and personal life. Eight years after retiring from acting to prioritise time with her rocker husband Benji Madden, 43, and daughter Raddix, 2, she announced on June 29 that she's stepping back into the spotlight to star in the Netflix movie Back in Action, alongside Jamie Foxx. "She was ready to act again. She just needed a push," a source told People magazine. "Benji has always been very supportive of Cameron in what she wants to do, especially in her career."
