Touching down in Sydney on June 28 ahead of her home country promotional blitz for the highly anticipated movie Barbie (in theatres from July 20), Margot Robbie looked every inch the part. Strolling through the airport in a vintage pink Chanel jacket with her pastel pink luggage, the 33-year-old was certainly giving off main character energy. But it was a knowing glance at her pink cap-clad husband, Tom Ackerley-who dutifully stepped to the side once he spotted photographers - that proved that every Barbie needs a Ken.

While the Aussie star has been going from strength to strength ever since her breakout role in The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013 and is now one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood, her personal life has been just as successful. Robbie and Ackerley met on the set of the 2014 flick Suite Française, in which the actress starred and the then-budding filmmaker was acting as assistant director, and they became friends. However, the relationship soon turned romantic.

"[It] crept up on me," she previously told Vogue. "We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back. Don't make it weird, Margot. Don't be stupid and tell him that you like him.' And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we're together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.'"
