Having rarely been seen over the last couple of months as her husband has travelled the globe doing charity work, Meghan Markle returned to the spotlight as she attended the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala on December 4. Wearing a slinky, strapless black gown with sweeping train from Oscar de la Renta and a glittering diamond Logan Hollowell necklace, the Duchess of Sussex looked every inch the celebrity A-lister at the event held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Meghan, 43, attended solo despite Prince Harry, 40, also being on the hosting committee for the do, which honoured their friend Tyler Perry for achievements in filmmaking and philanthropy. Raising eyebrows on the other side of the country, the Duke of Sussex was quick to dispel rumours that there was any trouble back home while on stage in the Big Apple at The New York Times’ DealBook Summit.

“Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house maybe 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well,” Harry said during his conversation with Andrew Ross Sorkin. “It’s just like, what? It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you sort of ignore it. I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here,” he added of Prince Archie, 5, and 3-year-old Princess Lilibet.
