But, from that day onwards, Meeku started thinking that he was the most intelligent and bravest in the whole of Champakvan.
One day, Sunny snake said, "Meeku, you and I are very similar. Let's be friends."
Meeku didn't like this idea because he believed that no one was as intelligent as him in Champakvan.
Meeku knew that Sunny was weak in English, so he replied to Sunny angrily, "No, we are not the same. You don't know English. I may be small like you, but my mind is big like an elephant."
Sunny was shocked to hear Meeku's fluent English. He softly said to himself, "I would rather be alone than be friends with him and listen to such difficult English," and crawled away silently.
Meeku found out that Damru donkey's general store was not doing well because his math was weak.
When Meeku reached his shop, he opened Damru's account book and asked him, "Tell me, Damru, how much is 600 divided by 6, plus 200, and minus 2?"
Damru couldn't answer the question.
Meeku replied, "Damru, you are so silly! The answer is 298."
Hearing Meeku's answer, even the animals standing at Damru's shop were convinced of Meeku's sharp mind. However, they didn't know that Meeku had secretly used a calculator to answer.
Meeku scolded those who did not know English by saying big words in the language, and to those who did not know math, he bragged about his intelligence by rattling off big formulas. Sometimes he gave knowledge on fashion and style and sometimes compared himself with great men like Hercules while narrating the stories of his bravery. Overall, he started considering everyone else a fool.
