"What use is the Christmas festival to us? I've heard that on this day Santa Claus brings beautiful gifts for everyone, but not one gift has ever come to our Deer Colony," Robin said, still sulking.
"Oh, so that's it? Okay, tell me one thing. Do you sleep with the doors of the house open or closed on Christmas Day?"
"What kind of question is this, Kobi? Who sleeps with the door of the house open? We all sleep with the doors and windows closed. But why are you asking?"
"Don't tell this to anyone, but I am friends with Santa. He told me that he leaves gifts only in those houses that have their doors open on Christmas night. When he sees closed doors, he turns back," Kobi said and went on his way.
Kobi was a trickster, and an expert in luring animals into his trap with his sweet words.
"We shouldn't be fooled by Kobi's words! If we all sleep at night with the doors open, whether Santa Claus comes or not, some thief will definitely come and steal all our belongings, and we will be left helpless," Robin's wife said after hearing him.
"It isn't what you think. Kobi said this for our own good because Santa Claus himself had told him about it. I'll sleep with the door of the house open on Christmas so that Santa Claus comes and gives us gifts," Robin said. He also advised the other deer of his colony to sleep with the doors of their houses open.
The next day, Robin's wife went to the police station and narrated the whole story.
"Inspector, I feel that my husband has been influenced by Kobi, who is planning to trick us. I tried to convince him, but he was adamant. On Christmas night, please take special care of our colony so that Kobi does not succeed in his trickery," she pleaded.
