Suri's ears shot up in joy when Vani fox became her friend in school. She was her first friend.
"I have to give this stopwatch to my cousin; come with me," said Vani showing Suri a stopwatch. "It is used to record time for anything like how many minutes it took you to finish sharpening your pencil, or eating your ice cream." There was a button on top to turn it on and off. She even let Suri hold it.
"We will have to go to the big school!" said Vani. Suri happily followed her. They had to pass through the huge corridor, and at the end there was a blue door that was ajar. Vani peeped inside, and Suri copied her. Suri turned pale.
"This is the Biology lab, I have been here so many times. Have you never seen skeletons?" Vani asked, "My cousin even knows the names of all the bones." Vani tip-toed a bit more, then whispered, "She is not here."
They walked further and went past another big blue door.
"This is the library," said Vani. Suri looked confused.
Vani looked at Suri and laughed, "Never been to a library before?" Suri shook her head. Vani told her it was a house of books. Her cousin wasn't there either. Finally, they found her at the playground.
"Why would books have a house?" Suri mumbled in her room later. "And you know what is crazier-bones have names?"
"Funnybones!" cooed Myra dove from the window sill. Suri jumped happily. Myra flew from her old town for the weekend. They watched a movie together and chatted.
After dinner, while playing a game of Ludo, Suri told her everything about the big school, stopwatch, and the huge library.
Myra dove rolled a six and won, while Suri carried on, "And you know what, Vani's cousin has special shoes."
"What kind of special shoes?" asked Myra packing the game.
"She calls them spikes," mumbled Suri.
