Norwegian Singer Astrid S: 'I Feel Very Privileged to Be Living My Dream'

The artist talks to us about her latest single Darkest Hour' and releasing versions of the song with Indonesia musician Keisya Levronka and Pakistani singer Asim Azhar

Recently, norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid S was in Mumbai and we caught up with the artist to talk to her about being part of the music industry for 10 years, her new song “Darkest Hour,” her tour plans, performing in India and more. Read excerpts below:

This year marks 10 years since you began releasing music, what’s the journey been like for you?

It’s been crazy. I think I’m still in shock that I get to do this and I don’t take anything for granted. I feel very privileged to be living my dream. But it’s been a lot of hard work. It’s challenging because the music industry is changing. So much so you have to be very adaptable, but it’s so much fun. I love that. It’s such a challenge and it never gets easier. Like you think you’ve cracked the code. If it’s writing a song or a campaign or whatever it is, it’s such a victory when it works and it connects with people.

What was the music scene like in Norway while you were growing up?
