Psychological thriller The Clearing might seem stranger than fiction, but it's actually inspired by a real-life cult that forced children to dress identically and have their hair dyed blonde.
Set in Australia, the eight-parter features Homeland's Miranda Otto as cult leader Adrienne and A Discovery of Witches' Teresa Palmer as Freya, a former cult member who's trying to raise her son in the outside world when her old life begins to intrude.
