Heartstopper, in particular, always chooses 'heartstopping' romance over trauma-TBH that is quite a welcoming tone for teen coming-out stories. The series is about Charlie (Joe Lock) who develops a crush on his jock classmate Nick (Kit Connor)...and it follows their high school lives. With exams and a school trip to Paris on the horizon, as well as a prom to plan, the friends have a lot to do as they navigate the next stages of love, life, and friendship.
