TURN UP THE HEAT
It seems that the beauty sphere has had a change of heart. For the last few years, warmer tones had been passed over in favour of cool, ash colours, but red is now making a comeback on the runways of FW’22, in particular — a warm, cherry-red that somehow feels soft and bold at the same time.
I reckon it’s got something to do with the different dimensions within the shade, because it’s not a one-tone colour. There’s a warmer tint at the tips, which brightens the face by bringing out a natural rosiness to the cheeks, but the deeper shades near the roots help to tone down the colour for a mellower, more elegant feel — think chelan cherries instead of maraschino.
