"Most times I'm searching for stories, and I want to tell many, all at the same time, but other times, I try to look for silence in a chaotic city like ours. And that, itself, tells a story of its own kind"- Avani Rai

"These photos were made during a taxi ride in the month of June in 2019, just as the monsoons were making their entry into the city. These two images are particularly close to me because they mark a shift in the way I photograph the city. My initial images of Bombay were influenced by a lot of street photography.
