Louis Vuitton’s Voyager Show in Shanghai illuminated the runway with a vibrant palette of whimsical animal motifs. Fashion and art have long been intertwined, with fashion serving as its own unique form of artistic expression. The House’s Pre-Autumn 2024 collection seamlessly blends these two realms, pairing itself with contemporary artist Sun Yitian, allowing her to expand her conceptual artistry.

Growing up in Beijing, Sun Yitian was immersed in China’s world of mass production goods, which served as the initial inspiration for her creations. Her artworks have graced galleries worldwide, from Berlin and Paris to Shanghai and Hong Kong, perfectly aligning with her goal to present items initially perceived as of little value within the prestigious context of galleries and museums. “These products are manufactured in factories and distributed around the world at extremely low prices. As the main subjects on my canvas, these items, which may initially seem unremarkable or even cheap, then become expensive pieces of art,” she shared.
