A huge crowd falls prey to such claims assuming their body is full of toxins, and aiming for weight loss or any other goals. Detox is certainly a buzzword now, very tempting especially after overindulging after vacation or Diwali...

Busting Myths

But is our body really full of these so-called toxins? If human body did accumulate these many toxins, we would fall ill, which is why the concept of these detox diets are unscientific and baseless.

Our body does not need a detox program. It is designed to detoxify itself day in and out. The mighty liver is our detoxification machine. It's literally made to do this! "Detoxifying everyday things, we eat and breathe is main part of its job and keeps us alive."

Other organs like kidney, lungs and skin are working overtime too.
