Not trying too hard to make it the same. In its essence it should carry the same energy the original may have had, but also remain true to the time by representing the culture and the different versatility of people.
I read that one of the things you liked about the Gossip Girl reboot is that it “shows Black people just existing without their Blackness being their whole identity”. Tell me about that.
