In yoga, the point is about experience. Knowledge is not achieved through information; that rather creates a burden: a weight comes over our head from external sources, confusion increases. It is a fact that we consider the activity of acquiring information as that of acquiring knowledge. But yoga is a subject in which just acquiring information will not do. Here, the application of that information is necessary. Otherwise, information can be very confusing. One person will say, "I benefited from this particular thing", another person will say, "I lost from that same thing", because every person's body is different, every person's situation is different. On one hand, you may get the information to do fast breathing, on the other, you notice that by doing fast breathing, acidity increases, heart rate increases, you may even get a heart attack.
