Simple living and high thinking are the fundamentals of my Guru Hansa Maa, epitome of simplicity, beauty and grace. As I pen down my thoughts, I feel short of words to describe a legend like her. Our beloved Maa has physically, mentally and emotionally guided us on life's path using clear and effortless Yogic techniques.
She was born on 8th October 1947 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She is a world-famous personality as an Indian Guru, author and researcher. She is the director of The Yoga Institute (Santacruz), Mumbai. It was founded by her father-in-law, Shri Yogendraji in 1918.
Smt. Hansa Jayadeva Yogendra was our country's first lady Yoga Guru to be invited by the Government of India - Ministry of Ayush to grace the event at Rajpath, New Delhi on the occasion of the First International Yoga Day. She shared the dais with our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi along with other dignitaries.
