Richard Batterham (1936-2021) was one of Britain's leading throwers of stoneware pottery in the Leach tradition. He threw his first pot aged 13, and grew to become one of the most revered potters of his time, as judged by the V&A.
Richard worked on his own for over 60 years from his purpose-built Durweston Pottery in Dorset.
