This year marked the 10th anniversary of 3 Days of Design (3DD)—the Danish design festival featured a lively mix of city-wide launches and exhibitions that highlighted the best of Scandinavian and international design throughout various showrooms and institutions in Copenhagen. Now bigger than ever, the three-day festival held in early June showcased innovative designs, classic furniture as well as key trends that offer new approaches to our interiors. Here are the ones we took note of.
1. STYLE: SERVING LOOKS
Entertaining at home continues to be part of our post-pandemic lifestyle. Porcelain brand Royal Copenhagen, in partnership with Vitra, showed how it's done with a joyful table setting experience in the Royal Copenhagen's historical location (left). With contemporary designs as well as iconic Vitra collections by Charles and Ray Eames, the tableau also featured Royal Copenhagen classic blue tableware with the addition of a new coral tone that blends nicely with the warm, pastel hues of Vitra furnishings.
Muuto's Midst Table by TAF Studio (above) was another highlight. The generously sized round dining table helps create an inviting place of communion and comfort. Its refined silhouette is enhanced by distinct detailing and contrasting materiality in either solid oak or linoleum on a spun steel base in a durable, high-gloss finish.
2. MATERIAL: DUAL VISION
