Brides Today: Your recent campaign in London looks sensational. What were your thoughts behind your collection, ‘For the Love of London?’ Seema Gujral: London is like my second home. I’ve always found endless inspiration in its cultural diversity, iconic landmarks and dynamic atmosphere. I wanted to capture these elements in the collection through intricate designs, luxurious fabrics and a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, celebrating both the timeless charm and the modern spirit of London. We’ve shot two campaigns in London and it’s been a beautiful process, from the planning stages to watching them come to life.
BT: Do you think the pastel vogue is here to stay? Or is red always going to be the ultimate winner in a bride’s trousseau?
SG: Pastels have definitely made a strong impression and continue to be popular among brides for their soft, romantic appeal. However, red holds a timeless charm and cultural significance that I believe will always make it an enduring favourite in a bride’s trousseau. Ultimately, both pastels and red have their unique beauty, and the choice will always depend on the bride’s personal style and cultural traditions.
BT: In the nearly 30 years of your brand’s presence in couture, how have bridal preferences and the wedding industry in general evolved?
SG: They have both evolved significantly. Today’s brides are more confident, individualistic and adventurous. They seek unique designs that reflect their personal style rather than adhering strictly to tradition. There’s a greater emphasis on comfort and versatility, with many brides opting for lighter, more breathable fabrics and multifunctional pieces. The shift towards inclusivity and diversity in body types and cultural representation has also reshaped bridal fashion.
