Why is cleaning and restoration so important to anyone creating a collection of rugs?
One of the many reasons antique rugs are so collectible is because, like anything made from high-quality materials, they can be maintained and sensitively restored, so that they will retain both their appearance and their value. When good-quality rugs of any age are well cared for, using time-honoured processes and the correct dyes, they can be passed from one generation to another.
